Located in the southwestern part of Brooklyn, Dyker Heights is a residential area of New York City. The area is situated on a hill between Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst, Borough Park, and Gravesend Bay. In October 1895, Walter Loveridge Johnson transformed a forested area into the suburb we now know as Dyker Heights. Through the entirety of the twentieth century, the area's reputation as a posh residential area remained intact.
